In January 2005 the PEMA Immobilien GmbH (PEMA Real Estate) was founded as a first step to build up the PEMA-group. To this time businessmen of the Northern and Souther Tyrol were together in charge of the company and founded a subsidiary company in Hungary.

PEMA opens its office in Innsbruck on June 15th in 2005. Many people from economy, public life and politicians – like the Austrian Minister of Justice, the Mayor of Innsbruck and the President of the Chamber of Commerce in the Tyrol – followed the invitation of PEMA and participated the opening event.

Shortly after the foundation and opening of the first PEMA-companies the concentration on the business-fields project development and project management brought the need to create a new structure of the whole group.

Starting with the foundation of the PEMA Holding GmbH as the new head of the upcoming group, the structure which now is in use was implemented. The group with Mag. Markus Schafferer as CEO is organized with different project-specific companies and share holding companies.

PEMA Immobilien GmbH as operative and administrative center of the group belongs completely to PEMA Holding GmbH and works as project manager and service office of the group.

PEMA has different roles in different projects. In the case of the Designer Outlet Brennero the PEMA group acts as investor. In other places PEMA is property developer and builder – one of the recent development-projects is the Brunecker Street in Innsbruck. At the same time PEMA creates a portfolio of real estates. Those realities have to be managed.

In the year 2008 PEMA continues its expansion also in its organization. By getting a new office and having more people working for PEMA the group shows how to optimate its structures during the growth of the group.

With its shares on different companies the PEMA group is engaged in projects located in Austria, in the northern part of Italy, in Germany and Hungary.
